Practical life

Practical life is where the child learns everyday skills that will help them for the rest of their life.

  • They build the ability to concentrate
  •  They build fine motor skills for working
  • They prepare their eyes for reading by going from left to right and top to bottom

Grace and Courtesy is a part of Practical Life, where children receive explicit instructions on how to interpret and react to different social situations:

They learn to….

  ….Say “Please” and “Thank You”.

  ….Greet one another.

….Politely interrupt a person engaged in activity.

  ….Introduce friends

  ….Wait for their turn.
